How to be a ROV Pilot Technician?
Aside from fiber optics, SubNet Services also offers remotely operated vehicle (ROV) training courses. In fact, we are the first company to provide the ROV Pilot Technician course here in the Philippines. So if you want to pursue the exciting and growing industry of ROV, then this training is tailor-made for you.
Choose Our Courses
SubNet Services is offering ROV courses in three categories. These comprise (1) entry level, (2) advanced level, and (3) supplementary courses. Read further to know more about each course level.
ROV Entry Level Courses
For these courses, we give our students two training options. We allow them to either study the course full time at our training school or study some of the course materials at home prior to the on-site training to reduce training duration.
ROV04 or Commercial Oilfield ROV Pilot Technician Premium Courses are designed for new entrants to the ROV industry. They either have no electronic technical certification or wish to offer a broader range of skills to employers. These skills may include training on all International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) R04 competencies for the IMCA position of ROV Pilot Technician Grade 2. ROV04 includes two courses:
(1) ROV04S – a full on-site training that will run for seven weeks
(2) ROV04E – a six-week on-site course with an online/home study prior to the actual training

In the same way, ROV05 or Commercial Oilfield ROV Pilot Technician Standard Courses are designed for new entrants to the ROV industry. However, these entrants should already have a technical certification such as electronics, electrical, mechanical, or fiber optics. ROV05 includes two courses, too:
(1) ROV05S – a full on-site training that will run for four weeks
(2) ROV05E – a three-week on-site course with an online/home study prior to the actual training

ROV01S or ROV Supervisor Course, on the other hand, is an on-site training only that will run for one week. It is a full hands-on supervisor course designed for delegates who are already working in the ROV industry and targeting a supervisory position. It covers IMCA recommendations within two modules: (1) C011 or Basic Supervising Skills Module and (2) R01 or IMCA R01 ROV Supervisor Competency Training Module.

ROV Supplementary Courses
Similarly, these courses are designed for personnel who are already working in the ROV industry. These personnel are either (1) working in the industry but may not have or may need additional training that is included in the given modules or (2) entry level ROV personnel who may have taken an ROV course that did not include the training required in the given modules. These courses are as follows:
(1) ROV1005CFOT – an on-site training that will run for three weeks covering electronics with Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) course for the ROV Pilot Technician;
(2) SN/R04/001CFOT – a one-week on-site training designed for ROV personnel who are yet to be competent in high voltage, fiber optics, and their relationship with ROV operations; and
(3) ROV1002 – an online training that is already included as a part of our entry level courses (ROV04 and ROV05). However, we also offer it as a separate course for those who have not taken any of our entry level ROV courses.
