Trainings are Beneficial for Employed, Too (A Subnet Services Student Success Story)
Even an engineer needs a training. This was proven by Jose Melanio M. Marasigan, a fiber optics engineer who took up Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) training at SubNet Services last June.
I was just new in the company, and I was assigned in the Fiber Optics Group. I was learning from my colleagues, but not yet that much. Subnet’s training [had] helped me not only in the technicals, but also in safety.
Safety, as we all know, should be of first priority in every industry. Being a meticulous employee that he is, Jose was grateful to SubNet for emphasizing on the safety aspect of fiber optics, which he was able to apply in the field.
I use everything that I learned. I use proper disposal of optical fibers and protect my eyes from debris. In measuring the fiber links, the usage of launch cables make my troubleshooting easier and more accurate.
Today, Jose is all praises to the industry that he’s in and even recommends those who are employed like him to also take fiber optics training to step up their career.
Fiber optics industry did great in the technology we have right now. It helped communications to be better in many aspects. I think, this industry is not yet maximized and there will still be more discovery and improvements to be developed in the future.
SubNet takes high pride in knowing that its students are successful in their chosen industries and have been able to utilize their training in their respective fields. As a training school, we are grateful and honoured to feature Jose’s Success Story.
