The Rising Industry (A Subnet Services Student Success Story)

SubNet Services

The fiber optics industry is rising and is doing great right now. It benefits our way of communication because it improves it and makes it even better. I think the industry will move faster and develop more advancement.

This was the statement of Gilbert A. Fabia, former CFOSH Fiber to the Home Premises (TEL2004) trainee at SubNet Services about the industry he belongs to.

After being trained in FTTx, I learned more about the fiber network architecture. It helped me a lot in distinguishing what architecture was being layout to that building or premises. I also learned that splitter could be Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), as well as to identify how many splitter was connected.

Gilbert further said that the SubNet training has been beneficial to him especially in his own work as he detailed out what he had learned from the training.

This training helps me a lot in gaining more knowledge and in knowing the latest technology in fiber optics. Like FTTH Passive Optical Network (PON) that we are using right now in our company.

Gilbert currently holds the position of Fiber Optic Maintenance (Plant Operation Maintenance) at SKY Cable. With 16 years of work experience in the industry, he highly recommends the SubNet training to other fiber optics personnel like him.

Being employed and being in the industry for many years, I think we should take trainings, too to improve our skills and to know the latest development in fiber optics.

SubNet takes high pride in knowing that its students are successful in their chosen industries and have been able to utilize their training in their respective fields. As a training school, we are grateful and honoured to feature Gilbert’s Success Story.
